Govinda says, 'aap kabhi mujhe kisi stree ka virodh karte nahi dekhenge,' as he slams divorce rumours with Ssunita Ahuja and reports of alleged cheating

Govinda and his wife Ssunita finally made a joint appearance on Ganesh Chaturthi in front of the media as they welcomed Ganpati Bappa at their residence. The couple slammed all the divorce rumours with their appearance together. On this occasion, as they spoke to the media, at first when they were asked about their divorce by the media, Ssunita quipped in her quintessential avatar, "Yahan controversy sunne aaye ho ya Ganesh Chaturthi manaane" Govinda laughed to it.



Ssunita further added that if there was something wrong with them, they wouldn't be so close together today celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi. Govinda, dressed in a maroon kurta, twinned with Sunita, who wore a matching saree. Videos from the celebration quickly went viral, showing the couple performing the Ganpati puja with devotion and distributing sweets to the paparazzi. Meanwhile, with reports of their divorce, it was being said that Ssunita had filed for the divorce alleging cheating and cruelty. As they quashed these reports, Govinda told the paps, in a video shared by Voompla, "Mujhe joh mila hai meri kuch bhi aukaad nahi hai. Maa ka aashirwaad hai. Aap kabhi mujhe kisi stree ka virodh karte nahi dekhenge, Ghar parivaar mein main sadaiv yeh prarthna karta hu ke chaahe aapke paas kitne bhi paise aajaaye, kitna hi stardom mil jaaye, purush ke paas mein Eeshwar ne karam diya hai par Bhagya joh hai uski devi sadaiv 'shree' hua karti hai. (Whatever I have received is far beyond my worth. It is due to Goddess Maa's blessing. You will never see me opposing any woman. I would tell every person and family that no matter how much wealth or stardom one attains, a man may be given karma by God, but destiny has always been governed by the woman power which is 'shree')."




With this, Govinda also indirectly said that Ssunita plays a role in his success and he can never go against her. Meanwhile, Ssunita was quoted by ANI saying that even God cannot come between her and Govinda. She said, "Aaj media ke muh pe thappad nahi padi hai kya? Humko saath me dekh kar. Itna close... agar kuch hota toh itne nazdeek hote? Humari duriya hoti. Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta. Chahe upar se koi bhi aa jaye... Mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai." (Hasn't the media gotten a slap in the face today? Seeing us together like this. So close... If there was something wrong, would we be this close? There would've been distance between us. No one can separate us... My Govinda is only mine and no one else's.)"
