Gulshan Grover recently shared that he watched 'Heeramandi' with one of its leading actors, Manisha Koirala. It marked Sanjay Leela Bhansali's first web series, released on Wednesday. Manisha plays a strong character named Mallikajaan. Gulshan and his family cheered the actress on while watching the show together.

Grover posted a picture and a video showing his family cheering for Manisha Koirala while watching 'Heeramandi' at her home. He praised Manisha's performance, “Watched #Heeramandi at my dear friend Manisha Koirala’s @mkoirala home with friends. Manisha you are FABULOUS & a BADGIRL ! Son Sanjay & me wishing super success to everyone”. Vivek Mushran, the actor from 'Saudagar', also joined them for the film.



'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' features a star-studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh portraying the roles of tawaifs. Additionally, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman take on the roles of the Nawabs in the series.

Set against the backdrop of the Indian Independence struggle in the 1940s, 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' delves into the cultural reality of the namesake area. It portrays a time when mistresses held power as rulers, exploring their stories and relationships with clients, offering a unique glimpse into the intriguing world of Heera Mandi.

Gulshan Grover has made a mark in the film industry with his portrayal of negative roles on screen. He is renowned for his work in various films including 'Hum Paanch', 'Bulundi', 'Rocky', 'Arth', 'Sadma', 'Avtaar', 'Mashaal', and 'Veerana', among others.

On the other hand, Manisha Koirala rose to fame in the 1994 film with her role alongside Anil Kapoor in '1942: A Love Story'. The film's song 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' became very popular. She continued her success with hits like the Tamil film 'Bombay' in 1995, and movies like 'Agni Sakshi' in 1996, 'Gupt: The Hidden Truth' in 1997, and 'Company' in 2002, among others.
