'Gustaakh Ishq': Manish Malhotra announces his debut as a film producer; first glimpse to be unveiled on THIS day
Manish Malhotra is stepping into production with his upcoming romantic drama, ‘Gustaakh Ishq’, featuring Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in lead roles. The movie is planned for a November release, with the first look set to be revealed on August 25.
Let's take a closer look.
Taking to his social media handle, Manish posted a heartfelt message, sharing his lifelong passion for films. He wrote, “Since childhood, I’ve lived with a deep Ishq for cinema. The magic of the stories, the glow of the big screen and the emotions that stay long after the credits roll. That love has shaped who I am, and today, it gives me the greatest joy to share a dream come true. This November, 2025, my first film as a producer, ‘Gustaakh Ishq – Kuch Pehle Jaisa’ will release in theatres." He also added, “This Monday, I will be sharing with you the very first glimpse into the poetic world of Gustaakh Ishq."
Not long ago, the producer hosted a lunch at his home for the film’s lead actors, Vijay and Fatima. Manish Malhotra shared a collage of selfies showing the three of them smiling together. Posting the photos in his stories, he captioned it, “Sunday lunch at home with my @stage5production #gustakhishq pair Fatima Sana Shaikh and Vijay Varma."
In April, the first poster for the film was released, showcasing the intense chemistry between Vijay and Fatima. The use of soft colors and emotionally evocative imagery sets the mood for what promises to be a passionate love story. The new title, ‘Gustaakh Ishq’, has garnered positive reactions online, with fans praising its poetic and lyrical quality. Earlier this year, Manish gave a glimpse into the film’s theme with a poetic statement: “Bewakoofiyaan, Nadan galtiyan, badi bhool hai ishq, Sach Poochiye toh mere huzoor, ul jalool hai ishq!".
