Hansal Mehta says Kareena Kapoor Khan never acted like a 'tantrum-throwing' star: 'It was a dream to work with her'

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s latest film, 'The Buckingham Murders', is receiving positive reviews from both fans and critics. In this Hansal Mehta directorial venture, she plays a detective and a mother. The filmmaker recently showered praise on the ‘Crew’ actress for her dedication to her work.

In a chat with India Today, Hansal Mehta described Kareena Kapoor Khan as a "dream to work with." Despite a challenging past experience, he emphasized that it did not affect their collaboration on 'The Buckingham Murders'. Mehta highlighted the shoot as one of the smoothest and most enjoyable in his 30-year career, noting that Kareena never exhibited any difficult behavior. “It was one of the smoothest and most beautiful shooting experiences I've had in my entire three decades of working… she never came across as a tantrum-throwing star,” he added.


Hansal continued to praise Kareena’s dedication to her role in the film. He noted that she fully immersed herself in the character and demonstrated an exceptional work ethic. Kareena was consistently present on set, assisting fellow actors and focusing on improving each scene rather than just her own performance. Mehta described her portrayal as deeply emotional with minimal vanity, reflecting significant internal depth.

'The Buckingham Murders' also features Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. It hit theaters on September 13 and marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s debut as a producer.
