Muskan Nancy James files FIR against sister-in-law Hansika Motwani's family over domestic violence; shares cryptic message 'Beti ko ghar ki Laxmi maane'

Television actress Muskan Nancy James, and sister-in-law of actress Hansika Motwani, has reportedly field an FIR against the Motwani family on allegations of domestic violence.

According to a report on News18, Muskan filed an FIR at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai, accusing the Motwani family under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. She has also reportedly named Hansika and Mona Motwani, in her complaint.


Muskan, in her complaint, has accused her estranged husband, Prashant Motwani, of domestic violence, which she claims led to her developing Bell’s Palsy, a condition causing partial facial paralysis. She alleged that Hansika and her mother 'interfered' in her marriage, contributing to its breakdown.

She claimed that the actress, her brother and mother, demanded expensive gifts and money. She also alleged that they even took part in property-related fraudulent activities.


In a statement to ETimes, Muskan confirmed filing the case but refrained from sharing further details, stating, “I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further.”

Following the news of her complaint, the actress' social media handle has been updated with several cryptic messages. The actress, who has claimed to be a victim of domestic violence, shared an empowering message that read, "Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim."

In another post, she shared another poignant message that read, "Beti ko ghar ki Laxmi maane, Laxmi... ko hi beti na maane!"

Muskan married Prashant in 2020, but the couple has reportedly been living apart since 2022.
