Harmeet Singh recalls final heartfelt conversation with ex-wife Shefali Jariwala: "We spoke for hours"
The entertainment world was left in a state of shock after the sudden demise of actress Shefali Jariwala, popularly known for her iconic appearance in 'Kaanta Laga'. Among those mourning her loss is her ex-husband, Harmeet Singh, of the popular musical duo Meet Bros.
In a recent interview, Harmeet expressed his heartbreak over the news of her demise, and also expressed his sorrow over not being able to attend her final rites.
Harmeet and Shefali were married from 2005 to 2009. While their relationship had its share of ups and downs, time had mellowed the past hurts. In a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Harmeet recalled his flight back home with Shefali. He shared, “I remember going to Bangladesh for a show about two-three years ago. Sunny Leone, Shefali, and I flew back together in a private plane. Shefali and I sat next to each other and spoke for quite a long time.”
He added that they also greeted each other warmly whenever they crossed paths at events and parties over the years. “The fact that Shefali is no more is shattering,” he said.
A Farewell From Afar
He extended heartfelt condolences to her parents, husband Parag, and sister Shivani, adding that being far away made the grief even more difficult to bear.
Shefali was reportedly brought dead to Bellevue Multi-speciality Hospital around 11 am, following a suspected cardiac arrest. Her funeral was held in Mumbai.
