According to a report published in News18, the Kannada film industry is planning to distance itself from Sonu Nigam following his controversial remarks about the state's love for its language. In response to growing discontent, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is set to convene a meeting on Monday to address the situation and decide on further actions.



Key industry groups, such as the Music Directors Association, Directors Association, and Producers Association, will participate in the meeting to discuss the fallout from Sonu Nigam’s controversial comments. The focus will be on whether to exclude him from future Kannada film projects.

Several prominent music directors, including Sadhu Kokila, Harikrishna, Arjun Janya, and Dharma Vish, are set to attend an important meeting regarding Sonu Nigam’s recent controversial comments. Industry insiders believe that Nigam's declining demand in Bollywood was revived by opportunities in Kannada cinema, and his remarks have left the industry feeling betrayed. The meeting will discuss potential steps, including whether to refrain from engaging him in future Kannada movie projects.
