Ankur Bhatia is currently busy with his next project ‘Yaar Jigri’. At the same time, he has gone onboard with ‘Ishq Fitoori’. In a recent interview, when Ankur Bhatia was asked about his dream role, he replied that in order to establish himself as a versatile actor he looks for good cinema.
Elaborating more on the same, the actor said, “Good cinema is what I look for being a versatile actor. I would like to work with different subjects and performance oriented roles that ’s how I go about choosing the kind of movies I want to do and have done previously as well.”
As the conversation rolled, Ankur Bhatia spilled beans on a couple of other topics as well like the journey so far, the upcoming projects, his role in them and so on.
The journey treated me wellBesides ‘Haseena Parkar’, Ankur also featured in
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Sarbjit’. Recalling his experience on the B-town bus, the actor said, “The journey has been absolutely amazing. There have been ups and downs but that's a part of life. I learn from my mistakes and move on. Since the start of my career, I believe in my self and the number of movies I have done I have always justified the character and gained appreciation. Journey till date has treated me well.”
Efforts over nepotismIndian film industry and the phenomenon of nepotism are seen as two faces of the same coin. When Ankur was asked about his take on the same, he didn’t deny it’s existence, but the actor said that he feels if you are ready to put your best foot forward, nothing else would actually matter. “It is there. No point in denying it. But there are people who also give a chance to new talents. It all depends on your talent and hard work. So as long as you are ready to put in the efforts nothing can hold you back.”, Ankur said.
What next to expect?As aforementioned, the actor has two projects in his kitty. Throwing some more light on his upcoming movies, Ankur Bhatia quoted, “There are a few projects. The one which I am currently working on is Ronnie Screvwala's upcoming movie ‘Yaar Jigri’ and ‘Ishq Fotoori’. Both have a great script and story. I am playing a negative role in “Yaar Jigri” and it would be interesting to see how my character unfolds and the changes it will bring in the story.”
