​Highest grossing films of 2023​

The year 2023 will go down as one of the best years in the history of Indian Cinema as it saw multiple blockbusters being churned out one after another, let's take a look.

Jawan is by far the biggest hit of the year with a domestic box office collection of over Rs 628.3 crore, the film was Shah Rukh Khan's second release of the year after Pathaan.

Pathaan was the first and for the next 6 odd months the biggest hits of the year till Gadar 2 beat it exactly for one night which was then replaced by Jawan. Pathaan was SRK's first release in 4 years and made about Rs 533.9 crore domestically.

With Gadar 2, Sunny Deol evoked patriotism like no one else did in the last 22 years, the film was a blockbuster and collected about Rs 512.8 crore domestically.

Animal is beats at the box office and there is no stopping it , the film in 12 days have minted Rs 445 crore domestically.

For Leo, Thalapathy Vijay collaborated with Lokesh Kanagaraj once again and once again they created magic, the film went on to collect Rs 341.9 crore in India.

Superstar Rajinikanth got a much needed hit in Nelson's Jailer, the film was loved by one and all, taking the India total to Rs 336 crore.

A lot was expected from the 5th installment of the SPY Universe , the numbers were encouraging but did not meet the expectations. The film reached by Rs 283 crore in India.
