Himani Shivpuri reveals her playful slap to Salman Khan during Hum Aapke Hain Koun shocked Sooraj Barjatya

Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994) continues to be one of the most iconic films in the history of Bollywood. The film, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, remains etched in our hearts for its timeless romance and family drama. Recently, veteran actress Himani Shivpuri recalled an amusing anecdote from the film, where she starred alongside Bollywood’s beloved superstar, Salman Khan.

Himani Shivpuri, who portrayed the endearing Dr Razia in the film, recalled her first encounter with Salman Khan on the sets. As the cameras rolled, Salman lifted her off the ground, leaving her momentarily stunned. “Since I had a background in theatre. I instinctively reacted and playfully slapped him. Even Sooraj ji was taken aback, but he decided to keep the impromptu moment in the film. Little did I know that Salman would surprise me again!” Himani Shivpuri told Bollywood Hungama.

Rajshri Productions, the film’s production house, strictly adhered to vegetarian meals during the shoot. However, Salman ensured that the cast and crew enjoyed a flavorful exception. The veteran actress revealed, “Salman was such a brat! He would bring home-cooked biryani on Eid, and we all relished it. His warmth and pranks made the set a lively place.” Beyond his on-screen charisma, Salman’s mischievous side endeared him to everyone. Himani affectionately described him as a “big prankster.” His antics, coupled with his thoughtful gestures, created an unforgettable camaraderie on set.

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming film Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this Eid 2025 release promises Salman's signature entertainment. Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Prateik Babbar will also be seen essaying pivotal roles in Sikandar. Apart from this, Salman will also be seen in Tiger vs Pathaan, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan.
