'Housefull 5' releases on OTT: Here's when and where you can watch the Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh starrer

The popular blockbuster 'Housefull 5,' which earned over ₹300 crore at the box office, is finally heading to an OTT platform. Prime Video officially announced that the Tarun Mansukhani-directed film is available for streaming starting today, Friday.

Taking to Instagram, the OTT giant posted a brief video with the movie's cast urging viewers to watch it. The caption stated, "A housefull of people have something to say."

Along with a large ensemble cast that included Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangad Singh, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, and Soundarya Sharma, Akshay Kumar starred in the comedy Housefull 5.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's production company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie debuted in theaters around the world on June 6 and went on to gross over Rs 300 crore worldwide and surpass Rs 200 crore at the domestic box office.

Housefull 5 was a unique murder mystery comedy released in two parts, Housefull 5 A and Housefull 5 B. While both films began with the same plot, they diverged to reveal a different killer in each climax. The filmmakers revealed during promotions that they had been planning this innovative concept for years.

Despite its box office success, the film received criticism for its portrayal of female characters and its crude humor.
