‘I, in fact, injured my tailbone’: Varun Dhawan on intense ‘Border 2’ preparation

Varun Dhawan is gearing up for one of the most anticipated films of his career, 'Border 2'. Preparing for a real-life war hero

During the interaction, a fan asked Varun in Hindi how he physically prepared for the role of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. The actor did not shy away from the reality of the process, revealing the intensity of the shoot and the physical toll it took on him.





Varun replied, “Bahut prepare karna tha. I, in fact, injured my tailbone while shooting the Battle of Basantar. I shot for 40 days in Babina for that, with real soldiers. #VarunSays.”

What drew him to the Border 2 script

Another fan asked what made the script stand out for him. Varun explained that the film does not glorify a single hero but highlights collective strength and teamwork.

Sharing his thoughts, he said, “A war can never be won by an individual; it takes all forces to come together. In #Border2, we have the Army, Navy and Air Force together—oh ya, and also the one-man army Sunny Deol.”
