Ibrahim Ali Khan's sports drama 'Diler' is set to resume shooting in London: Report

Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, is poised to make his mark in the film industry with his speculated debut with the film 'Sarzameen,' alongside renowned actors Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. He is also set to star in a sports drama film 'Diler', which has faced significant production challenges due to recent unrest in the UK.
Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, 'Diler' centers around the life of a marathon runner, making the London backdrop essential for its narrative. According to reports from Midday, the film's production team had planned an extensive shooting schedule in London, which was meant to commence in August. However, due to rising tensions and protests in the UK, producer Dinesh Vijan prioritized safety and opted to cancel the London leg of filming.

The decision to shift production back to Mumbai was not taken lightly. The team initially attempted to recreate key London locations within Mumbai; however, this proved challenging. The report mentioned concerns about maintaining authenticity in these recreated settings. London is integral to the story, and there is a crucial marathon sequence for which they needed shots of the city. The filmmakers were not satisfied with their efforts in Mumbai and were determined not to compromise their artistic vision.
Now that conditions have improved in London, preparations are underway for a return to the city. The crew is set to begin filming this month and plans to shoot continuously until Diwali at the end of October. This schedule will include capturing essential scenes that are pivotal for 'Diler,' ensuring that the film retains its intended authenticity.

In addition to 'Diler,' Ibrahim Ali Khan's upcoming project 'Sarzameen' has generated considerable buzz. Directed by Kayoze Irani, son of actor Boman Irani, 'Sarzameen' is described as a mystery thriller exploring various facets of love and relationships. This film marks Ibrahim's entry into Bollywood and has fans excited about his potential.
