Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra’s war drama ‘Ikkis’, originally scheduled for December 25, 2025, will now release on January 1, 2026. The makers announced on X, “This new year, gift yourself courage. Final #Ikkis trailer drops this weekend in theatres. A new chapter unfolds in legendary director Sriram Raghvan’s first war film. Christmas week is shaping up to be one of the busiest at the box office. Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ is already buzzing and dominating theatres with no signs of slowing down as it crosses Rs 400 crore mark in India, while Hollywood giant ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ is set for a big release in India on December 19, 2025.

‘Ikkis’ avoids clash with Kartik-Ananya drama

By moving the release, ‘Ikkis’ also avoids a direct clash with Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic drama ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ which is set to release on December 25, 2025. With these films holding onto screens and prime shows, a December 25 release would have meant limited visibility and fewer prime shows for ‘Ikkis’.
