Indira Krishnan reveals Rashmika Mandanna struggled to speak Hindi during Animal: 'Jo wo hai, wo uske face pe clearly dikh jaata hai...'
Indira Krishnan recently reflected on her experience working with Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. Having played Rashmika’s on-screen mother in the film, Indira shared warm memories from the set and praised both actors for their grounded personalities and professionalism. She also revealed that while Rashmika initially struggled with Hindi during the shoot, she overcame the challenge with sincerity and a strong willingness to learn.
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Indira shared that both Ranbir and Rashmika were a delight to work with. She described Ranbir as extremely warm and praised her interactions with him—though brief on Animal, they increased significantly while working on Ramayana. Indira also spoke fondly of Rashmika, calling her a sweet, grounded, and genuinely sincere person whose authenticity is evident in her expressions.
The actress also shared that Rashmika came across as a deeply positive person who was always eager to learn. She recalled how the trio—Ranbir, Rashmika, and herself—often had conversations about the universe and manifestation. Indira noted that while Rashmika occasionally struggled with Hindi during Animal, she handled it with grace and delivered her performance beautifully.
Animal is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action drama film co-written, directed and edited by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri.
