Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next titled, ‘Inshallah’, it was officially announced on Tuesday.
The film that marks Bhansali reunion with Salman after two decades, is said to be a "love story".
Both Salman and Alia took to their respective Twitter handles to share their excitement about the film. While Salman gushed about reuniting with Bhansali, Alia fondly remembered the first time she stepped into the director’s office at age 9 and finally bagging his film after 15 years.
"It's been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, 'Inshallah'. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey. #Inshallah," Salman wrote.
Alia, on the other hand, tweeted, "I was nine when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait.
"Dream with your eyes wide open they say and I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together and I can't wait to join them on this beautiful journey called 'Inshallah'.”
Going by the reactions on social media, this news was not only exciting for the actors but also their fans, who have gone ahead to call this the “blockbuster of the decade.”
