Sunita Ahuja recently gave a tour of her Mumbai home, designed in an English-style with contributions from her children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Having studied in London, they aimed to create a home that feels comfortable, not overly staged or showy. Sunita emphasised that the design reflects a lived-in space rather than a display piece.

Here's what we knowSunita Ahuja revealed in a conversation with Mashable India that she holds deep sentimental value for their Mumbai home, as it was where she married Govinda and where their children were raised. The house, designed with Vaastu principles, features items like a Santa Claus statue, Sai Baba idol, and an angel. Additionally, Sunita owns homes in Kolkata and Darjeeling, both with Sai Baba idols.
Sunita also shared that they light a candle on their 'angel table' every evening, as they believe in angels. She also mentioned lighting diyas on their balcony to protect the family from the evil eye. All the furniture in their home was imported from Italy, which took seven months to complete.
Ahuja addressed Govinda's recent accident where he accidentally shot himself while showing off the dance corner of their house. She humorously mentioned that she was not present at the time, being at a temple, and jokingly pointed out that he could have shot in a safer place.
The star wife further shared that the family is planning to buy a larger home soon, as they want more space. She mentioned that once her son Yash settles down, he should have his own place. They’re still deciding whether to purchase a new home this year or next.
Sunita also revealed that she and Govinda no longer live together. They have two homes, with Sunita and their children staying in an apartment, while Govinda often spends time in a nearby bungalow after meetings. She mentioned that she prefers quiet time with her children, whereas Govinda enjoys socialising.
