Inside Sonu Sood’s new luxury home with a wall full of expensive sneakers; Farah Khan suggests he start a mango business after visiting his garden

Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has recently moved into his stunning new bungalow in Mumbai 'Gangotri,' with wife Sonali and sons Ishant and Ayaan. Fans got an exclusive peek inside this luxurious residence thanks to Farah Khan's recent vlog, which showcased its captivating interiors. A standout feature that immediately grabbed online attention was Sood's impressive sneaker collection, delighting fashion enthusiasts and fans alike.

A modern haven blending elegance with personal touches

Estimated by real estate platform Jugyah to be worth approximately ₹20 crore, 'Gangotri' boasts a serene ambiance. The home has a signboard with the name Gangotri written in both Hindi and English. The vlog began with glimpses of Sood's welcoming security and staff, leading into a beautiful garden featuring a tranquil Buddha statue – a detail that prompted Farah Khan to remark on Sood's own calm demeanor. Both Farah and her cook, Dilip, were stunned seeing the garden, and Farah noting, “Sonu is also like this statue, always calm and composed.” They also have a charming outdoor sitting area enveloped by lush greenery, further enhancing the home's peaceful and opulent feel.


Inside, the living space continues the white-and-cream colour scheme, with coordinated sofas, a sleek centre table, and tastefully decorated walls. There is a lavish dining area near the white staircase leading to the upper level of the duplex home.

Artistic corners and personal spaces

The tour begins with a glimpse into Ishant’s bedroom on the ground floor. The room was designed in a grey theme and featured a large canvas painting of a car, created by Ishant himself. Glass doors in the room open to the outside garden.

Upstairs, the family has a media room outfitted with white sofas and a large screen for movie nights. One of the key highlights here is a unique thread art portrait of Sonu Sood, which he received as a gift from a devoted fan.
Sonu also shares a dedicated sneaker room with his sons, taking advantage of their similar shoe sizes.

Ayaan’s bedroom with unique wall paintings

Next was Ayaan’s bedroom, which features a similar grey palette but is brought to life with vibrant design elements. It had an eye-catching anime-inspired wall mural and a bold yellow furniture unit that stood out. A balcony attached to the room is shaded by lush trees, including a fruit-bearing mango tree. They were also seen picking some dropped mangoes from the floor. Farah jokingly suggested Sonu start a business selling mangoes.

Sonu Sood on the work front

Sonu Sood recently made his debut as a director in the action-packed film 'Fateh'. Released on January 10, 2025, it also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

He is now gearing up to direct and star in 'Nandi'.
