‘It’s scary, beware of such 'doctors’: Rakul Preet Singh REACTS to viral video claiming she had plastic surgery
Celebrities are constantly under the microscope, facing everything from body shaming to random medical opinions. Recently, Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh found herself caught in a similar situation after a man claiming to be a plastic surgeon alleged that she had drastically changed her looks through cosmetic procedures.
Now, Rakul reacted to a video making rounds online where a man, claiming to be a doctor, compared her old and new pictures. In the video, he suggested that she had undergone Botox, fillers, and a nose job. He also took a dig at her for not being open about the alleged procedures and for focusing only on fitness, saying it created unrealistic beauty expectations.
Responding strongly to the allegations, Rakul called out the man in question on social media. Taking to Instagram Story, she wrote, “Fraud alert: it’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people. Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science, I have no issues if people do surgeries, but there is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that? Beware of such ‘doctors.’”
Meanwhile, Rakul recently impressed audiences with her performance in ‘De De Pyaar De 2.’ The film, also starring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Meezaan Jaffri, earned ₹111.53 crore worldwide, though it was reportedly made on a budget of ₹135 crore.
Up next, Rakul will appear in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,’ directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film brings together a star-studded cast, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi, and is set to hit theaters in March 2026. She also has ‘Indian 3’ lined up among her upcoming projects.
