Janhvi Kapoor reflected on her upbringing and the contrast between her sheltered life and the pursuit of experiences. She shared how her late mother, actor Sridevi, worked to provide her children with a comfortable life. However, Janhvi expressed feeling a sense of emptiness in such a sheltered existence, highlighting the importance of making mistakes and learning from them. She highlighted her belief that those who lack the drive to seek out new experiences may be missing out on valuable growth opportunities.
In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Janhvi Kapoor expressed, "I want to be wealthy in my soul. I want a lot more from life emotionally than just the comforts that would have been easily offered to me. I want to be enriched, and I want my life to be full of experiences. I have lived a very sheltered life. Mom and Dad have been very overprotective of me, and I think as a result of that, I seek experiences a lot more because I feel they were kept away from me."
Janhvi Kapoor shared that her mother, Sridevi, believed in providing comfort and luxury to her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, due to her own hard work. Janhvi said, "Mom’s logic, of course, was that I have lived so much, seen so much, and done so much that I can just give my kids comfort and luxury without them having to go through any of it. But I am not interested in that kind of hollow existence. In fact, it unnerves me, almost to a point of fault, because I judge people who lack curiosity and that kind of ambition to seek experiences or are uninterested in discovering what their identity means, and I don’t mean like professional triumphs of our conventional notions of success. I mean, like, internal enrichment. I feel I unfairly judge those people; I should work on it. I have always been curious."
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in the film 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' opposite Rajkummar Rao.
