Junaid Khan lived in Delhi for 3 months to perfect his role in ‘Loveyapa’ with Khushi Kapoor!

Expectations are quite high as Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are teaming up for the upcoming film ‘Loveyapa’ which is directed by Advait Chandan. As the movie is set to hit the big screens on February 7 this year, let’s take a look at an interesting fact that highlights Junaid Khan’s dedication and commitment to this most-awaited project.

According to Free Press Journal, Junaid Khan was committed to playing his role as a local Delhi boy in the movie and as part of his dedication, he stayed in the city for over 3 months. He interacted with the locals and also observed their mannerisms. Junaid Khan also adopted their lingo and slang, to perfect his character in the Advait Chandan’s directorial.

Junaid also immersed himself in city life and traveled from the lively streets in Chandni Chowk to calm spots in the Lodhi Gardens. This contrast in the lifestyle is expected to add more perfection to his local boy character in ‘Loveyapa’.

The earlier released trailer for ‘Loveyapa’ features a relationship between the characters Gaurav and Baani played by Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor respectively. The movie promised to be a light-hearted comedy-drama movie.


The movie is a remake of the blockbuster Tamil film ‘Love Today’ and the audiences are expecting the Hindi film to keep up with the original with good performances and screenplay. The original film revolved around the conflict that happens when couples are asked to exchange their phones for one day and decide on their marriage.
