Junaid Khan reveals people doubt he's Aamir Khan's son: 'I’m like twice his size'
Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, recently shared his thoughts on whether being part of a film family comes with more pressure or privilege. He acknowledged the privileges of his background but stated that he has not felt significant pressure because of it. He pointed out that while he is Aamir Khan’s son, their contrasting physical traits make it less obvious to others. He shared that people often have a hard time believing that he is Aamir’s son due to the differences in their appearance.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Junaid elaborated on his experience, saying, “I haven’t actually felt so much pressure about it. It has not really come up so much around me- like with my family, and friends, and people I work with. I don’t think it has really come up so much. There are lots and lots of privileges. But yeah….maybe moving forward. I guess Papa also looks very young. Most people are not able to comprehend ki unka itna bada beta hai. We look also physically very different. I’m like twice his size. So yeah, I have not had it around me so much.”
Similarly, Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, also addressed the duality of privilege and pressure. She admitted to initially feeling the weight of expectations but eventually overcoming it. She explained that pressure exists when one imposes it on themselves, and external comparisons are inevitable given their family backgrounds. However, she emphasized that confidence and conviction help in overcoming doubts and proving one’s capabilities.
Junaid and Khushi made their big-screen debut with Loveyapa, which was released in theaters on February 7. The film also stars Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Devishi Mandan, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Nikhil Mehta, and Jason Tham, among others.
