Kajol says paparazzi culture is 'disrespectful and disturbing': 'They run after actors at someone’s funeral'
Bollywood actress Kajol has recently voiced her concerns about the paparazzi culture in the industry and how they manage to capture celebrities wherever they travel. Stars like Rana Daggubati, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Kajol herself have often expressed their disappointment over the intrusive nature of paparazzi culture.
Kajol about facing discomfort from paparazzi culture
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kajol opened up about the discomfort they face. The Do Patti actress admitted she finds certain aspects of the paparazzi culture hard to digest. “I am a little conscious with the paps. I think there are certain places where they shouldn’t be. Like, I find it very strange when they run after actors at someone’s funeral and ask for photos. I find that odd and a little disrespectful. I find it strange that you cannot even go for lunch,” she said.

She also raised concerns about how paparazzi often track her movements across the city. “They follow you for kilometres—from Juhu to Bandra—to see where I am going and which building I am entering. I find that disturbing,” she stated. The actress further added that if she were a regular person, she could have filed a police complaint for being followed, but as a celebrity, such actions are often tolerated.

Earlier, Alia Bhatt strongly objected to the publication of her private photos taken from a neighbouring building while she was spending time at home. Rana Daggubati confronted photographers at the airport for following him. Mollywood actor Unni Mukundan was also seen grabbing a paparazzo’s phone for taking his picture from an uncomfortably close distance.

Meanwhile, Kajol is gearing up for her next film titled Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, the movie also features Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma. It is set to hit theatres on June 27.
