Kandeel, diyas and rangoli! I love decorating my house during Diwali: Karishma Tanna

Karishma Tanna loves celebrating Diwali with husband in their beautiful home in . The couple moved there in 2022. Karishma says, “In my new home, I love using vibrant colours for rangoli at the entrance, hanging fairy lights around the balcony and placing diyas on the windowsills. This year, I’m thinking of adding more plants and eco-friendly decorations to create a warm atmosphere.”

Dressed in a stunning green outfit, the Scoop actress while posing exclusively for Bombay Times, says that her husband and she enjoy spending time with their families. “This year, Varun and I plan to have a cozy celebration with family. I am excited to cook some of his favourite Gujarati dishes like khandvi and thepla as well as some sweets because Varun loves mithai. I also plan to bake a dark chocolate cake,” she shares.

‘Diwali is more a quiet celebration now’
Going down memory lane, Karishma says, “As a child, Diwali was all about lighting diyas, bursting crackers and sharing sweets. Now, it’s more a quiet celebration, focusing on family gatherings and decorating the home with lights and rangoli while being mindful of the environment.” She added, "My Diwali wish list includes spending quality time with loved ones, and finding peace and joy in small moments. I plan to surprise myself with a small gift; perhaps a new book or a home decor piece to brighten up the space."

On the work front, ask Karishma about the kind of roles she is being offered after Scoop and she said, "After Scoop, I’ve been approached for more intense, dramatic roles that explore complex characters. While I appreciate those, I also want to explore lighter and humorous roles which showcase a different side of my acting range and allow for creative storytelling."
