Over the last two days, a team of BMC officials has been making rounds of the row house clusters in the tony

neighbourhood. Today, the officers have spent a few hours until late afternoon and measured each one of the properties and have warned the residents and property owners that they will demolish anything they find illegal in the constructions tomorrow. According to one of the residents, the BMC officials told some of the residents that they were paying a price for being Kangana Ranaut's neighbours. Some of the residents joined forces and informed Kangana's sister Rangoli, who works closely with her, about the developments.

Kangana took to her social media account and elaborated on how she had always wanted an office of her own when she decided to become a producer herself. She also confirmed that the BMC officials have visited her property. She wrote, "They have forcefully taken over my office measuring everything, also harassing my neighbors when they retorted." She added that the BMC officials used a statement like, "Woh jo madam hai jiski kartoot ka parinaam sabko bharna hoga," while talking to the other residents. What cannot be missed out here is that the developments have emerged close to the time when Kangana is planning to return to Mumbai.

Speaking to Bombay Times exclusively, Kangana said, "There is nothing illegal about my property. All the construction work on my property has been done with permission from the BMC. This was their second visit today and they haven't given a notice or any plan." The cluster of row houses also includes properties that belong to designers

and Manish Malhotra. While Goel said she is not in the know of any such development, Malhotra stated that he is busy with a professional commitment at the moment and has no idea about this.

We reached out to BMC officials, including commissioner Iqbal Chahal and Bhagwant Date, the officer said to be present on the spot when the raids were conducted today. However, there has been no response from them as yet.
