A video that has gained much attention on various social media sites shows a man picking up garbage near a waterfall in the region. Nearby, a few Indian tourists can be seen either admiring the view or strolling around. After cleaning the area, the man turns to the camera and says, "Maybe if I have a free day, I sit up here and watch and tell people, 'Pick this up'."

He said, "I'll do that. I've no problem telling someone," before walking over to a bin to dispose of the trash. Kangana shared the video with a caption reading, “Shameful.” She currently serves as the Member of Parliament representing Mandi, her hometown located in Himachal Pradesh.

Public response highlights generational mindset and civic sense

In response to a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), a person commented, "I have said it many times. We need a generational shift in the mindset. Teach your children that it is bad. I have seen people telling their kids to throw trash out of the car. Civic sense is zero amongst us." Another comment noted, "Foreign tourists are often more sensitive about cleanliness than our own people."
