From calling Tiger Shroff ‘bikini babe’ to talking about Sridevi’s ‘Thundering thighs’ when she was alive, here are five times the filmmaker left everyone shocked with his statements.

Kangana Ranaut taking on Bollywood’s so-called ‘mafias’ is not new and her tiff with the Maharashtra Government made some big headlines. What also grabbed attention was Ram Gopal Varma’s tweet. Taking to his micro-blogging site, he wrote, ‘Looks like KANGANA for sure is going to be the next CM of MAHARASHTRA and when that happens all BOLLYWOODIANS will have to shift to TIMBEKTOO.’

In 2017, Ram Gopal Varma took to his Twitter to extend birthday wishes to Tiger Shroff. However, the filmmaker also wrote something nasty about the actor. Sharing a picture of Tiger where he is seen posing shirtless on a beach, RGV wrote, ‘@iTIGERSHROFF U are great at martial arts but if BRUCE LEE ever posed like a bikini babe like u he wouldn't hav bcm BRUCE LEE..Please think.’ It was later reported that he apologised and sorted out the things with his father Jackie Shroff.

Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma are not so cordial with each other, even on professional front, let alone on personal front. In 2013, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, RGV took to his Twitter and took a dig at KJo. He wrote, ‘If teachers strive to make their students hav successful careers hw cm they themselves hav such unsuccessful careers.’ He also added, ‘If someone takes off from Karan Johar's Student of the year and makes Teacher of the year it will become the Disaster of the year.’

Quickly responding to his Tweet, Karan wrote, ‘Disaster of the year is your territory Ramu...no one can ever replace the comfortable place you have made for yourself there.’

On International Women’s Day, Ram Gopal Varma wished his fans but not without dragging Sunny Leone’s name into it. He wrote, ‘I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives.’ Although Sunny did not react to the Tweet, her fans slammed the director on social media. A complaint was also reportedly registered against him.

Ram Gopal Varma irked Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and many of late actress Sridevi's fans when he made some insensitive comments about her. He had tweeted saying, her ‘thundering thighs’ is what made her a big star. He wrote, ‘If only acting talent is a measure for stardom why wasn't Smita Patil bigger than Srideviji. The thunder thighs made the difference.’ The director faced a lot of backlash for his comments back then. Not only this, he has even dedicated a chapter to Sridevi in his autobiography, ‘Guns and Thighs’.
