Karan Johar and Orry praise Uorfi Javed after Hollywood celebs wear outfits similar to hers

The biggest fashion extravaganza, the Met Gala 2024, has just concluded at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and social media is ablaze with updates about it. Its red carpet event was an extravagant display of magnificent fashion, but one particular dress sparked a surprising online debate. Indian filmmaker Karan Johar and Social media influencer Orry have praised Indian actress and influencer Uorfi Javed as her fashion style appears to influence A-list celebrities.


Notably, Uorfi's prior outfits were extremely similar to those worn by singer Cardi B and supermodel Amelia Gray at the Met Gala. Karan Johar took to Instagram and commented on Uorfi Javed’s post. He wrote, “The is huge (heart emoji) well done URFI (heart emoji) (sic).” Social media influencer Orhan Awarthamani, who is popularly known as Orry, also commented, “URFI >>> (sic).” Uorfi even responded to Karan's compliment and wrote, "@karanjohar thank you (sic)."



Uorfi Javed ignited social media with her recent outfit at a Prime Video event. The dress, a true showstopper, featured a miniature solar system that lit up to reveal lighting planets and clouds. A keen eye on the internet saw a similarity to an ensemble from the Met Gala. One netizen remarked on Uorfi’s pictures, saying “This look reminds me of something I saw at the Met Gala! Wild fashion sense, Uorfi! (sic).”


There were also comparisons drawn between Cardi B's look for the night in a black gown with a long train and Uorfi's outfit. Uorfi Javed, who is known for her unique and creative fashion choices, has sparked a conversation about originality and influence in the world of fashion.
