In November 2023, it was announced that close friends Karan Johar and Ektaa R Kapoor are coming together for the first time to jointly produce a film; Kartik Aaryan was the lead star of the film. The film is rumored to be an epic war film written by Aseem Arora and directed by The Night Manager fame director Sandeep Modi. But before this film, the producer will be locking horns at the box office on 19th April.
The date was first taken by Karan Johar; back in November he had announced that his film starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor will be releasing on 19th of April. The film was earlier supposed to release in March, but he gave the date to his other production Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra, which was supposed to release in December, but backed out after Dunki and Salaar:Part 1- Ceasefire both confirmed their December release.
On Valentine’s day, Ektaa R Kapoor released the first motion poster of the film Love Sex aur Dhokha 2 announcing the release date of the film. The film marks the return of director Dibakar Banerjee to the sequel, he directed the first part in 2010. The motion poster features a heart with pulsating social media apps icons. Not much is known about the starcast of the film yet.
