Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt were captivated by Radhika Merchant's stunning 'Panetar' bridal look at her wedding to Anant Ambani on Friday.
The actresses did not hold back on their words of praise for the new bride, who wore a breathtaking custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation. Stylist Rhea Kapoor shared photos of Radhika, adorned in vintage jewellery and described it as "A Fairytale Come to Life."
Seeing the pictures, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who could not attend the wedding, sent her love and admiration for the bride saying, "Unrealllllllll." She also praised Rhea for styling the beauty saying, "Veere you have outdone yourself... but I don’t expect anything less… Bawwse bro."
Alia Bhatt, who was among the many guests at the wedding also sent her love for the new bride, writing, "Stunning" in the comments section.
Meanwhile, Sunita Kapoor sent her love, leaving a trail of heart emoticons in the caption.
Fans seemed convinced that Radhika was a "Real life Maharani," after seeing her stunning pictures. "She embodies elegance and grace in her bridal attire," another wrote.
Radhika, adorned with the family jewels that her grandmother, mother, and sister had worn at their weddings, wore an outfit which was a modern interpretation of the traditional Gujarati 'Panetar', which typically sees the bride in shades of red and white hues.
Radhika's ivory Zardozi cut-work ensemble included a trailing ghagra layered with a second detachable trail, a five-meter head veil, and a tissue shoulder dupatta. The ghagra shimmered with three red borders, showcasing a blend of Naqshi, Saadi, and Zardozi embroidery, symmetrically hand-embroidered with floral booties and adorned with stones, sequins, tamba tikkis, and a touch of red Resham.
The head veil featured delicate jaali and cut-work, while the 80-inch detachable trail was a Zardozi marvel. The look was completed with a fully embroidered red shoulder dupatta, adding drama to the piece.
