Karisma Kapoor reveals the 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' song 'Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor' shoot was tougher than it looked

Karisma Kapoor and Mohnish Bahl recently appeared on the singing reality show to celebrate Rajshri films with Sooraj Barjatya. Karisma and Mohnish reminisced about filming "Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor" from 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' after a contestant performed the song. The actress recalled that shooting the song was not as easy as it looked.

Director Sooraj Barjatya was so impressed with the performance that he shared a funny story. He admitted, “You’ve done complete justice to the song. This song was made for Karisma Kapoor, but I was really stressed about Mohnish Bahl. The choreography was meant for all three couples, and after Hum Aapke Hain Koun, it was Mohnish’s turn to dance. Since our team choreographed it, we suggested excusing Mohnish as his character had to keep one hand down. So, he stepped back, and Tabu took over most of the dance. But Karisma made up for it beautifully with her effortless grace."

After the performance, Barjatya asked Karisma if she remembered the "Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor" shoot. He reminded her how they were stuck on an elephant in the scorching Rajasthan heat. Once they were up there, they couldn't get down easily because elephants don't just squat on command. They were stuck without water, and at one point, Barjatya thought he might faint! Meanwhile, Karisma and Tabu kept dancing.

Karisma described the challenges of filming "Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor" on an elephant in Rajasthan's heat. She said, “It was quite tough. On screen, it looks like we are having the best time, and everything appears so grand and beautiful. But in reality, the elephant kept moving, and we had to sit there for almost 2–3 hours!"
