Karisma Kapoor's ex-mother-in-law's legal counsel confirms Priya Sachdev has been asked to disclose Sunjay Kapur's assets to court - Report
The battle to secure the fortune left by late industrialist and Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, Sunjay Kapoor, is getting fiercer with every passing day. According to the latest development in the matter, the court has asked the industrialist's wife, Priya Sachdev, to submit all the details about all the movable and immovable assets of the late businessman.
Reportedly, the legal counsel talked to the reporters outside the court and further shared, "Plus, all the parties have been told that their case, their defense, their stand should be reported to the court in writing."
Gaggar added that the plaintiff has requested the court to order that all of Sunjay Kapur's assets be exposed, as no one else knows about them except defendant number one, Priya Sachdev.
Vaibhav Gaggar told the media that the request was accepted and directed that all his asset lists need to be disclosed before the court.
Vaibhav Gaggar further elaborated that as per her claim, Sunjay's estate should get divided into five parts—her two kids, Priya Sachdev and her son, and his mother, Mrs. Rani Kapur. He said that if there was "interstate succession, it would have been according to that."
The lawyer also added that Karisma is claiming there is a will, and even Priya Sachdeva has stated there is a will that refers to her as the sole heir to the fortune.
Gaggar said, "So this is a fight between the two, which has been entered into the court today. I will not say much on the merits, because now the matter is sub-judicial, but this is really the case filed."
Meanwhile, Priya Sachdeva has claimed that Karisma Kapoor and her kids have already been paid Rs 1900 crore from the legacy of the late industrialist.
