Karisma Kapoor's kids move Delhi HC over Sunjay Kapur's Rs 30,000 cr assets, allege that Priya Sachdev forged his will

Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's sudden demise came as a huge shock to the family. But even as people close to him were still grieving his demise, there's been a lot of feud surrounding his Rs 30,000 crore assets. Sunjay's mother Rani Kapur claimed that while she was still grieving her son's death, she was forcefully made to sign some papers. There were also reports of a feud between family regarding the inheritance of his Rs 30,000 crore estate. Now as per the latest update, Karisma's children Samaira and Kiaan have now approached the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, according to a report by Bar & Bench.

In the suit filed by them, the children have alleged that their step mother Priya Sachdev forged Sunjay's will. The plaintiffs submit that the will allegedly executed by their father is not legal. It is forged and fabricated. Thus, the children filed a plea to the court for seeking action for being wrongfully excluded from their father Sunjay's will.

The report further stated that the defendants in the lawsuit are Priya Kapur, her minor son, Sunjay's mother Rani Kapur and the purpoted executor of the will Shradha Suri Marwah.

Earlier, when Karisma's name had come in this feud, a source close to the actress had told ETimes, "Karisma Kapoor is not involved in any inheritance or property-related matters. She has no claim, nor is she seeking any share in the estate. Her only concern is the well-being and future of her children.”



Sunjay's sister Mandhira Kapur had also claimed that her mother for forced to sign some papers by several people which also included Priya. "What papers are they not showing us that they’d gotten signed in this 13-day period that they’ve taken over? My mother was made to sign papers behind locked doors. And this wasn’t once, but twice," she told Republic. She added, "There were two doors, actually, a door inside and a door outside. So she couldn’t hear me. The bottom line is she signed some papers during the mourning period. My mother was in deep grief. She came to me and said, ‘I don’t know what papers I’ve signed. And since then, we’ve been asking and getting no response. So, what are you hiding from us? I think this will all unfold at some point, and the truth will come out."

Karisma Kapoor tied the knot with Delhi-based businessman Sunjay Kapur in 2003. However, after years of turbulence, the couple parted ways and officially divorced in 2016.
