Kartik Aaryan has officially kicked off the shoot of his new film, ‘Naagzilla’. Sharing the exciting update on Instagram this Saturday, the actor uploaded a photo showing him smiling brightly while holding a clapboard that featured the movie’s title and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s name.

In ‘Naagzilla’, Kartik takes on the character of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag. The first glimpse of the actor in this role was revealed in April this year. Production details and release date of 'Naagzilla'

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Sujit Jain. Although plot details are still under wraps, there is buzz about its potential to grow into a franchise based on the success of this first movie. While the cast hasn’t been officially revealed, reportedly Ravi Kishan is part of the lineup, awaiting confirmation. This project marks Kartik’s second film with Karan Johar, following ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Tu Meri’. ‘Naagzilla’ is scheduled to hit theaters on August 14, 2026.
