The selfie that set social media buzzing has now translated into real momentum on set as the original cast of ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ reunites for its long-awaited sequel. Actors Anupam Kher, Tara Sharma Saluja, Parvinn Dabbass, Kiran Juneja and Ranvir Shorey are back together as filming officially begins on ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’. Cameras are rolling in Gurgaon, bringing back the familiar chaos and warmth of the Khosla household, nearly two decades after the 2006 cult comedy won hearts across India.Tara Sharma Saluja marked her return to the franchise with a cheerful Instagram post that quickly caught attention. Sharing a fun selfie with Anupam Kher, Parvinn Dabbass and Kiran Juneja, she reflected on the emotional first day of the shoot. “And it begins (red heart emoji) #khoslakaghosla 2…shooting with many from our KKG 1 fam and some new. Nostalgia and new adventures,” she wrote on Instagram. She added, “Great to reunite with many, missing those not here and looking forward to the acting and the rest joining and us all hopefully creating another film you all love, safely, smoothly and successfully touch wood.” Tara also described the experience as pure joy. “Not revealing anything but my first day on this set so a Woh Yah Hooo post with some from the OG squad seemed right!” she shared, promising more updates closer to the release.According to IANS, the sequel sees Ravi Kishan joining the ensemble, a development Anupam Kher celebrated with a heartfelt social media post. “A BRILLIANT ACTOR AND A GREAT HUMAN BEING,” Kher wrote, adding, “Extremely Happy, Delighted and Joyous to have a very dear friend @ravikishann join the cast of #KhoslaKaGhosla2.” He further praised Kishan as “Calm, Humble, Compassionate, Helpful, Sincere and someone who LOVES #Bharat passionately!”Producer Savita Raj Hiremath told Mid-Day that the long wait for the sequel was unavoidable. “Good things take time and it wasn’t easy to make the sequel as expectations are more,” she said. She confirmed that director Dibakar Banerjee and writer Jaideep Sahni are not involved this time, noting, “My team and I have written the story this time.”The sequel is directed by ad filmmaker Prashant Bhagia, chosen for his simplicity. Despite changes behind the scenes, Hiremath emphasized the heart of the film remains intact. “When we say KKG we mean there is something more about the ghosla that matters a lot to the Khoslas,” she said.
