'Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart' continues to attract attention from audiences, and its lead actors
Siddharth Gupta and
Sanskruti Jayana have now spoken about a deeply personal experience connected to the film.
Before the movie reached theatres, both actors visited Vrindavan and met respected spiritual teacher Premanand Maharaj. In an interview with News18 Showsha, they described the encounter as profoundly emotional and spiritually uplifting.
Siddharth Gupta says meeting was destiny
Siddharth said the visit felt destined and fulfilled a wish his mother had cherished since he signed the film
“I think everything happens for a reason. As it is written in the Bhagavad Gita, we can’t plan things. Even with our movie, the way we are getting the love, I think it was destiny. It was also destiny that I had to go and meet Premanand Maharaj. It was my mother’s dream that the day I signed Krishnavtaram, I should go and meet Premanand Maharaj, and I said, ‘How?’ But it happened on such a beautiful day when our premiere took place."
The actor said the spiritual atmosphere had an immediate effect on him
“When you are in his presence, there is another level of glow; the energy level changes. I was extremely sleep deprived, but the minute I entered the room, it all went away.
I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt very godly and divine in his presence."
Sanskruti Jayana says she couldn’t stop crying
Sanskruti shared that she was overcome with emotion the moment Premanand Maharaj entered the room.
“It was beautiful. I couldn’t stop crying the minute he entered the room. His energy is so pure that it changes everything around. Of course, we have heard him a lot, but when you are in his presence, it is something else."
Hardik Gajjar’s film focuses on Krishna’s emotions
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film presents a more intimate interpretation of Lord Krishna. Instead of focusing mainly on battles and spectacle, the story highlights emotions, relationships, and the human side of the divine figure.
Should more films focus on the emotional aspects of mythological figures?
Siddharth Gupta portrays Krishna, while Sanskruti Jayana appears as Satyabhama
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 13.52 crore during its first week. It added Rs 1.20 crore on Day 9, Rs 2.30 crore on Day 10, and Rs 3.20 crore on Day 11.
These numbers have taken the domestic net collection to Rs 20.22 crore.
