Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan reunite at event; 'Bhediya' fans joke actress's boyfriend Kabir Bahia is 'third-wheeling'

After celebrating Diwali together, Kriti Sanon had her rumoured beau Kabir Bahia as her date for a sporting event. Interestingly, at the event, the actress was reunited with her 'Bhediya' co-star Varun Dhawan.

Photos from the night saw the actress having a gala time watching the UFC match with her beau on one side, and Varun on the other. Soon, videos of the couple's rare public appearance turned up online, sparking speculation that the marriage rumours may just be true.

Meanwhile, 'Bhediya' fans teased Kabir for “third wheeling” on what looked like a date between Dhawan’s character Bhaskar and Kriti's character Anika.

Fans flooded Twitter and X with quips such as: “Kabir third wheeling Bhaskar and Anika’s date” and “Bhaskar and Anika spotted !! My baski heart!”

Videos show the actor appearing comfortable as he chatted away with the couple and even filmed a video with Kriti that they later shared on their Instagram stories.

Bhediya 2 on the cards

'Bhediya', which starred Varun and Kriti in lead roles, has been generating excitement for its rumoured sequel. Considering that the film was a box office hit, fans have been eagerly awaiting an official update from the makers about the new release date for the sequel.

The release date for 'Bhediya 2' was set for August, 2026, however, owing to delays in production, the film was postponed. Meanwhile, a new release date and shooting update are still awaited.

While there is no update yet on 'Bhediya 2', the Madock horror-comedy universe expanded with the release of 'Thamma'. The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna also served as a launchpad for 'Shakti Shalini', the next big horror comedy, which will star Aneet Padda in the lead role.
