Kriti Sanon, who recently visited Delhi to promote her upcoming film 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,' where she plays the role of a robot, expressed confidence in her ability to stand on her own in the industry. Discussing her role, she stated, 'We are advancing in technology, and while we have robots, it remains unclear how far we will go in terms of technological advancements.'
Talking about her character, she shared, "I am a very impulsive person, and as an actor, I draw inspiration from other actors. However, role as a robot has its limitations. My character gives the illusion of being completely human, yet she is not. Navigating that fine line was exciting for me. I kept questioning - 'zyada robotic to nahi ho raha hai? ya zyada human toh nahi ho raha?"
She acknowledged the initial challenges, saying, "In the beginning, it felt a bit suffocating because I felt my hands were tied. However, as we progressed, it got better. Everything happens when it's supposed to happen."
Speaking about her collaboration with Shahid Kapoor, she said, "I'm more confident as an actor now. Earlier, I would have been very nervous to be in front of him, but now I'm confident enough to hold my own. We both really vibed. There are times when you don't have to make an effort to create chemistry because it comes out very naturally.' Sanon, who recently won a National Film Award for her performance in 'Mimi,' revealed that she was supposed to work with Kapoor on a project years ago, but it didn't materialise.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' is written and directed by first-time filmmakers Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. The film features Shahid as a man who falls in love and decides to marry a robot named Sifra (Sanon).
