Lata Ji

's demise and told ETimes, "My memory of Lataji's memory is attached to my mother Renuka. My mother made a film 'Do Dishayen' which starred Dharmendra and Hema Malini in the lead. The theme song of this film was 'Kisi Ko Phool' which was crooned by Lata Mangeshkar. It was such a beautiful song that my mother was very touched by it."

"I think this theme song goes with my life's story. My mother is my hero. When I came into the movies, Lataji sang one song for my film 'Elaan'. I feel fortunate to have got a chance to be a part of a song which was crooned by Lata Mangeshkar," Madhoo concluded.

After being treated for almost a month, Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last on Sunday morning at 8:12 AM. Her mortal remains were taken to her residence at Peddar Road in South Mumbai around 12.30 pm. The legendary singer will be cremated in Mumbai with full state honours, an official said.
