' but the versatile actor is leaving no stone unturned in his upcoming film as well. Taking to Instagram, he shared a new teaser poster of his upcoming sports drama '
Maidaan
'.
The film which is based on the true story of the Golden years of Indian Football is being helmed by 'Badhaai Ho' director
Amit Sharma. The makers have even managed to rope in National Award-winning actress
Priyamani to star opposite Ajay and fans are quite eager to see the two superstars together on the silver screen for the first time. Taking to social media, Ajay wrote, "#MaidaanTeaser - Get ready for Maidaan! 27th November 2020 ⚽" 'Maidaan'.
Meanwhile, Ajay is currently shooting for SS Rajamouli’s magnum saga 'RRR', he has already wrapped up one schedule of 'Maidaan' in Kolkata. It is also reported that the film’s unit is now constructing a makeshift stadium at a coastal fishing village in Malad for the March schedule.
'Maidaan' which is based on how the Indian football team brought honour during the years of 1952 to 1962, under the guidance of
Syed Abdul Rahim
will feature Ajay as the coach and manager. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film also stars Bengali actor
Rudranil Ghosh and
Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles and is slated to release on 27th November 2020.
