Malaika Arora: The undisputed queen of dance numbers

Malaika Arora has been crowned as the undisputed Queen of dance numbers. Right from 'Chaiya Chaiya' to the 'Pataakha' song ‘Hello Hello’, she has had the audience hooked. When she signs on for a dance number, it becomes a sure shot super hit. Her performances set the bar high for any actress attempting to take on a dance number in Bollywood. Be it groovy party beats or desi numbers, Malaika has enticed the audience through it all.

Let’s have a look at some of her famous dance numbers in Bollywood thus far.

'Chaiya Chaiya'

'Chaiya Chaiya' is one of Malaika Arora's unforgettable performances from the 1990’s. A fine combination of lyrics and choreography made this dance number Bollywood’s all-time favourite. Malaika dancing on the top of a train with Shah Rukh Khan is without a doubt, one of the best things that happened to Bollywood. Pairing up the duo for the song was not only too hot to handle, but it was also iconic. Malaika shot to fame and the song became an instant hit, which still has fans swooning over it and recreating its steps.

'Rangilo Maro Dholna'

'Rangilo Maro Dholna' became a garba anthem for years to follow since it first hit radio waves in 1999. Malaika Arora was paired with Arbaaz Khan and they looked stunning together. Malaika's mind-blowing latka and jhatkas only seemed to have added to the garba spirit. The song is about a wife wishing that her husband returns safely from the war and features Malaika dancing to the peppy beats with Arbaaz by her side. Dressed in an embellished chaniya choli, her performance will set you in the mood for Garba.

'Maahi Ve'

'Maahi Ve', this song turned out to be Malaika Arora’s career-defining dance number, as it featured her in a sexy avatar that many find hard to match up to even today. Her sizzling pole dance set temperatures soaring while her sensuous dance moves left everyone spellbound.

'Munni Badnam Hui'

'Munni Badnam Hui' from the Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’, was another hit dance number for Malaika Arora. Her performance in this song was lauded by fans. Her enticing dance move and captivating expressions were some of the things that set her apart from other actress. Her bindass attitude reflected in her song which was a visual treat to all her fans. With this song, she once again proved that nobody can match up to her sass.

6/8

'Anarkali Disco Chali'

Despite the random lyrics, 'Anarkali Disco Chali' was a hit, and all credit went to Malaika Arora for her scintillating performance. In the song, she looked stunning as she grooved with veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty and Boman Irani. Her thumkas made fans fall in love instantly with this peppy number. It goes without saying that Malaika commanded attention till the end of the dance number in the movie ‘Housefull 2’.

7/8

'Pandey Ji'

The 'Dabangg' sequel would’ve been incomplete without Malaika Arora featuring in a special dance number. All ready to cast her spell over the audience once again in the franchise, she burned the dance floor with 'Pandey Ji', that saw her shaking a leg with Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. Malaika’s dance moves along with Salman's swag made this song a hit among both, the boys and girls.

'Hello Hello'

'Hello Hello' featured Malaika Arora in a sizzling hot avatar and upbeat dance moves that ensured one more successful dance number in her kitty. Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, this song was set up in a mela. Malaika recreated her magic by swaying to the rustic beats and proving once again that she is the ultimate queen of dance numbers.
