Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta's initial autopsy report REVEALED; police confirm death due to 'multiple injuries'

The initial autopsy report of late Anil Mehta, the father of Bollywood actress Malaika Arora, has been revealed. According to PTI, Anil sustained multiple injuries to his head, legs, and hands, police confirmed on Thursday.

The autopsy was conducted at a civic hospital shortly after his death on Wednesday morning.

Mehta, aged 62, reportedly died after allegedly jumping from the sixth floor of his residence at Ayesha Manor in Bandra, Mumbai. Police officials stated that they are investigating the incident, recording statements from family members and witnesses who discovered Mehta dead on the building's premises.


While initial reports stated that he died by suicide, further inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Mehta's death are ongoing to determine if the death was an accident.

The Mumbai Police have since recorded the statements of Malaika Arora, her sister Amrita Arora, and their mother Joyce. According to ANI, the police are also planning to record the statement of Mehta's doctor, along with other family members who were close to him.


Earlier on Wednesday, DCP Mumbai Police, Raj Tilak Roshan, informed the media that the body of the deceased had been sent for a postmortem. He added that the teams of police and forensics are carrying out the investigation.

"Body of one Anil Mehta (62) was found. He resided on the 6th floor. We are carrying out further investigation and our team is here. We are investigating all angles in detail. Our teams are here; forensic teams are here as well. Body is being taken for postmortem. We are investigating everything in detail. Prima facie, it seems to be suicide; we are conducting further investigation," Roshan said.

The last rite rituals of Anil were held Thursday morning in a private ceremony that was attended by only a few close friends and family.


Malaika took to her Instagram account on Wednesday and posted an emotional statement, asking for privacy from the media during this difficult time.

"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time," her statement read.

Close friends of Malaika, Seema Sajdeh, Gauri Khan, Kim Sharma, Shilpa Shetty and many others reached her residence to offer condolences to the grieving family.
