Kangana, who has taken over the reins of the film from director Krish, recently spoke about her experience overseeing and looking after the editing processes. She reportedly said that this is not her first experience in supervising the edit or even directing a film. She apparently directed her first film when she was 23 or 24. It was a 10 minute short film that she had shot with an international crew. She also stated that be it direction, writing or editing, she has already done it in the past.

Elaborating further, she added that if ‘

Manikarnika

...’ was her first experience as a director, she would have been a deer in headlights, because there's so much to do. She reportedly said that absolutely loves directing and sitting on a film's edit because it is another level of involvement. She has also written for films officially which also makes me a bonafide writer.

Produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
