Manoj Bajpayee recently opened up about the time when Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan attended screening of his film, 'Shool'.
In an interview with a news portal, Manoj revealed that it was common for a series of industry screenings to be arranged for Ram Gopal Varma’s films back in the day. He added that Amitabh Bachchan had once attended Shool's screening with his wife.
In the scene where Manoj's daughter's character dies in the film, Jaya Bachchan went 'Waah Waah Waah!' Big B looked at her, got up and went to sit somewhere else as he didn't want to be disturbed. According to Bajpayee, while Jaya is very expressive, Big B is more reserved.
In the same interview, Manoj also recalled the time when he first met Amitabh at a preview screening for his breakout film 'Satya'. The actor revealed that he was drunk as Ram Gopal Varma had insisted that they have a few drinks before the show. The actor added that it was like meeting a God.
Manoj can currently be seen in 'Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai' which released on an OTT platform today, May 23. He plays a lawyer fighting a case against a self-styled godman accused of sexual crimes.
