These women of Jewish descent were The Trailblazers of Bollywood, as during those very early days, Indian society didn't allow women to act in public, instead, having men dress-up as women but these women, because of their background, had no such prohibitions or inhibitions. It was because of them, that other Indian women started acting in movies.
