Michael Douglas visits Brihadisvara Temple with wife Catherine Zeta Jones and son Dylan - see pics

After having received the prestigious Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at IFFI 2023, Michael Douglas is busy touring India with his family. His latest outing was Brihadisvara Temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

The veteran actor took to social media to share pictures from the spiritual sojourn where he was seen offering prayers at the temple with wife Catherine Zeta Jones and son Dylan. The trio was seen sporting garlands as they posed outside the temple. “Sightseeing with the best,” Michael Douglas had captioned the pictures.



Speaking about the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award, Michael had previously shared, "When I was in university in California, I was taking a film course, and one of the directors I studied was Satyajit Ray. This was about 1963-64. If I remember correctly, it was Pather Panchali, which was the first film, and then Charulata. While coming here, I was thinking about it. He was not just a director but a writer, a poet, and a musician too. His films were not heroic or on a grand scale but about the texture and left me with an impression. Now to win this award, which is in honour of Satyajit Ray, I feel it is well named."
