Mihir Ahuja is picking up momentum after his stint in The Archies. The actor who was seen in Made In Heaven got an opportunity to work with Anupam Kher in Vijay 69. It was a “dream come true moment” for Mihir who hails from Jamshedpur. In fact, when he was a kid he wished to be on the senior actor’s TV show and life came to a full circle when he got to act with him years later. He tells us, “When I was a kid I used to watch Say Na Something to Anupam Uncle. There was this show where Anupam Sir used to interview kids aged 7 to 10 and I wanted to be on that show but you know back in Jamshedpur we had no leads on how to reach there or whom to contact.” Talking about his excitement when he finally got to work with him, Mihir says, “When I was approached for Vijay 69 I was very excited because working with Anupamji is nothing short of a dream come true. I just used to observe him on set and learn. He always likes to guide his co-actors and so this project played like a training ground for me.” And how did the ice break on the sets of the Akshay Roy directorial? “The first time I met him was in a swimming pool. It was during the rehearsals. I play a triathlete, so I had a lot of swimming, cycling and running marathon scenes, so I met him there and he congratulated me for bagging a role in the film.
I was starstruck and he was pretty chill he met me like a friend and he was just like a friend from day one. We had a lot of scenes together. I am happy to know him as a person now because apart from being a great actor he is a fantastic human being. He’s just wonderful to work with. We always used to have lunch together on sets. Anupamji always likes having lunch with everyone on set and so he used to invite us in his vanity van to have lunch together.”
