The issue traces back to 2010, when Yadav borrowed Rs 5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The film failed commercially, leaving him burdened with debt. Before surrendering, he spoke to Bollywood Hungama about his financial situation, saying, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain.
