In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood director Sanjay Gadhvi passed away on November 19 after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. He was days away from his 58th birthday.

Following his demise, Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles to mourn the loss of the ace filmmaker. His funeral was also attended by several celebs from the entertainment industry.



In an interview with Zoom, Minissha Lamba, who worked with the late director in 'Kidnap' along with Sanjay Dutt and Imran Khan, remembered the filmmaker fondly. According to the actress, Gadhvi was a loving parent on the set. He lft no stone unturned in ensuring that things went smoothly. She also added that she is shocked that the director is gone and that she will never be able to see him again.




Spilling some beans about his family, Minissha recalled visiting his house during the shooting of 'Kidnap'. She also fondly recalled a special dish in his lunch, 'Gur Karela'. Although she tried getting it from outside or making other people try it, however, nobody ever got it right.

Minissha also added that although she was in touch with the director, it is not that frequent. She also revealed that the last time she spoke to him was on her birthday earlier this year on January 18.

He is survived by his wife Gina, and two daughters. Sanjay was the son of Manubhai Gadhvi, a prominent figure in Gujarati folk literature.
