Reflecting on audience reactions to Delhi Belly, she said, “They were all giving one words for Delhi Belly, woh saare words Happy Patel ke liye apt hai, dark hai, quirky hai, off beat hai, sab kuch hai. (All those words are so apt for Happy Patel—it’s dark, quirky, offbeat... it’s got it all.) And I so enjoyed being a part of this mad, crazy universe.” Ahead of its release, the film received its certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. Vir Das shared the update in his trademark humour. He revealed that the movie had been awarded an ‘A’ certificate, turning the news into a joke at his own expense.
